Man.... I've totally been neglecting my blog! How could I have done such a thing!? I guess I've been too busy to take a couple minutes of my life to type a couple of words. There's just soOoo much going on right now. I'm taking 2 summer courses (actually took 3 but 1 was short), worrying about getting into the RN program for Fall 2004, planning Jordan's 3rd birthday, Filipino Weekend is coming up (it's not such a big deal anymore, just want to see some friends I haven't seen in a long time), 4th of July celebration (passed already), cousin's birthday (2-day celebration - passed), my 2 sister's birthday clubbing party (passed), more parties coming up, just received a letter that my hubby and I are accepted into the VN program for Fall 2004, the list goes on and on and on.....
Did I mention that my hubby and I got accepted into the VN program? Well, we did and we're actually waiting for a word on whether we're accepted into the RN program. The VN program is our fall-back plan if we don't get in the RN program. We're still waiting for that call that tell's us if we're "in" or not. I hope they call soon so we have an idea of what we'll be doing next semester. In that letter we received about the VN program, we have to get all kinds of shit together like shots, paper work, and testing done. And they all have to be done within the next 2-3 weeks, so that call about the RN program is crutial as to whether we continue all the requirements for the VN program. All the testing and paper work is going to cost us a total of about $200+ together and if we complete all the requirements for the VN program and suddenly receive a call about being accepted into the RN program we're screwed $200 and on top of that we have to pay for all the requirements for the RN program. HOPEFULLY, if that happens, the requirements will be the same or at least similar so that our money spent on the VN doesn't go to waste. Things are really complicated right now and it's all because of the stupid call that we're waiting for. Ok, it's not a stupid call... it's actually one of THE most important call's I've ever had to wait for in my life. Man... this is our future, and it rests totally on the departments hands. *crosses fingers* I hope we BOTH get it the RN program!!! *crosses fingers*
----CHANGE OF SUBJECT----
I've planned a day that we're going to celebrate Jordan's 3rd birthday. It's going to be on Saturday, August 14th and it's more than likely going to be held at my mom's house. I'm not too sure about the time yet since thing's are really blurry right now, but the date is for sure. I'll be handing out some invitations as soon and I confirm the time, but I won't be handing out that much since I just want a small party, mostly close friends and family. And since one of my sister's won't be able to make it to Jordan's birthday, I'm also planning on a second celebration which will be held some time in September. That celebration will also be a small party, probably just BBQ or whatever. So if you won't be able to make it to Jordan's 3rd birthday celebration on August 14th you're more than welcome to join us in September.
Sorry for such a long update... I just had a lot of things to catch up on. Be happy that I didn't mention every single detail that happened since my last entry which was on June 23. A LOT happened in 1 month and this was just a briefing of SOME things that happened.
Ever since my son was born I wanted a place where I can share my thoughts about
my little boy and me being a mommy (or whatever else I feel like writing about). I planned on placing some sort of journal or blog on my site but just I decided to let Pitas.com host my "Mommy Screams!" for me. There's nothing much around here just a couple of my thoughts, feelings,
dreams or whatever is going on in my life. Oh yeah, there's a few links around here too =oP I do, however, have plans to add more things
around here soon or whenever I've got the time. Otherwise the only interaction that happens around here are the comments or better known
as screams. Leave me a line or two and I'll hit you back.
Mommy Lala bio
My name is Lala, I am a fairly new mommy. I am 20 years old (soon to be 21... in May) and I'm married to Michael. We have a baby boy, named Jordan, who was born in August of 2001. He currently is 2 years old and he is getting bigger and older faster than I had ever imagined. Having a baby is the greatest experience of my life and one of my greatest
accomplishments. Although, I do not recommend that someone goes and have a baby (at such a young age), I just want to say that it's fun fun fun! Don't get me wrong or anything, but having a baby is hard work and very time consuming. You must have patience when caring for a child or children. Having a baby at such a young age, you don't get to go out and enjoy life as much because you're always at home taking
care of your baby. My life changed drastically... I was a teen who was living life as it comes, but then I had to become an adult overnight and live life to care for my son.
